Inlaid like precious jewels in the deck of the gigantic J Yachts, Prisms dispersed daylight into the cabins below. The dangers of oil lamps as fire hazards meant this type of lighting was never used below the deck – a hole would be drilled from the deck into the cabins below and the prism would be caulked into the hole. It would catch the sunlight and disperse light into the cabin below. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or flaws. Would make a great paperweight or sculptural art object, conversation piece.
