Description: This is a beautiful Restored & Rewired Ships Light in Brass & Bronze in perfect operating condition. This light was salvaged from the “Endeavor” , a 265 ft Canadian anti-submarine research vessel that was commissioned in 1965 and decommissioned about 15 years ago. Here are the details about this historic light. Exterior ships light from the 265 ft Canadian anti-submarine research vessel “Endeavor”… The first of it’s kind to cross the Pacific (see photo). Base/junction box is stamped brass, clamping ring is cast bronze, and the shade is spun brass. The paint has been removed and the brass/bronze buffed with Scotch-Brite, but no finish has been applied so that it’s patina will eventually return. The light has been rewired with a new cord, but the original socket and support hardware has been left intact. The light will come with a 14 watt bulb, but you can also install an incandescent colored bulb if you choose (up to 100 watts). The fixture is weatherproof and designed for exterior or interior applications. Can be set on the floor, desk / table or wall /ceiling mounted.
