The wall mount measures 4 inches diameter and has three mount holes. The frame of the light also measures 4 inches in diameter. To access the bulb socket, unscrew the cage and the glass globe. The new bulb socket we installed was made by Westinghouse Electric, and is UL-Listed. We have added a ground wire. Any normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less will work just fine. You will not see one of those lights coming from India wired like this. Total weight of this authentic nautical passageway light is 6.8 pounds.
