(2) Vintage Marine Signal Lights with Fresnel Lens

Very good original condition. Solid heavy brass construction with clear lens. Nice original patina that could be polished to a bright shine if so desired. Both share markings 4435-L29 on the bases and 9-S-4335-L on the top. Is stamped on the bottom. Identified in military tech manual TM 55-1905-220-20P as Signal Light – Man Overboard. 8-1/2″ tall x 6″ in diameter. These lights have been rewired for standard light bulb fixtures and are switched via a simple toggle switch. A 230V AC light bulb is installed. Not sure that it is the original bulb. Some original bronze screws have been replaced by inox ones. One screw from the front (glass and shutter) part is missing. Antique Maritime Navigation Ships Signal Light Lantern, Scarce WWII Era Nautical

From my research it appears to be a WWII 1940’s, believed to be GP, Navigation or Deck Light. This was probably either a Naval Vessel, Troop or Supply Transport lantern. Clear lenses in very good condition noting one tiny chigger. The lantern is missed its burner. But I believe the piece to be in top form otherwise. Part of the model number can be seen and if looking closely at my close-up shots you can see enough to know the maker. Measurements are approximately 11″ tall (without the top movable brass bracket) by 8.5″ wide. Please see and enlarge all photos as they are part of description. This is a great looking lantern. Flat back with barrel front. Made of galvanized metal and brass. Clearly marked on front with a Perko brass tag and Perko is stamped on brass water tight lid. Measurements seen in photos. Metal looks great with light age related wear. Screw top open and closes fine. (2) chips to glass ridges of lens. Has been re-wired and not tested.
