This is the rare vintage OCEANIC cast brass sconce light. Shown in the above photos. This cast brass light is extremely rare because of the “OCEANIC” marking is cast on to the top housing, the cage, and on the lip under the housing. This light weighs almost 8.5 pounds. From the top of the wall mount to the bottom of the cage it measures about 10 1/2 inches tall. When mounted to the wall it will extend out by about 6 1/2 inches. The wall mount measures a bit more than 5 inches from hole to hole. The glass globe is free of any cracks, but may have minor surface wear and you may prefer to perform some additional cleaning. This light has been totally rewired, including a ground wire, with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. In case you need it, the new Leviton bulb holder takes a medium bulb of 660 watts or less. That being said, the current wiring is for more of a standard wattage, but that can easily be changed. This light can be used for interior or exterior projects, it will never rust. The convenience of changing bulbs by simply unscrewing the pieces makes this an ideal fixture for use where it would be inconvenient to have to bring a screw driver and perhaps stand on a step stool. These look great on your boat dock, or by the front or back door. So many possibilities, both inside and out.
