Vintage Antique 1900s-1930s Mica & Brass Metal Lighthouse Lamp / Night Light

This Vintage Antique 1900s-1930s lamp is heavy duty! It weighs 2.10lbs! Thats because it was hand turned on a metal lathe out of Aluminum and brass stock in the early part of the 20th century. My understanding is that apprentice machinists in shipbuilding would have made these as part of their learning. It is WAY over engineered with a thick brass plate held on to a heavy turned aluminum core with large screws. The inside would make a good hiding place for something small, or a roll of Benjamins.. Or Washingtons in my case; The original silk covered cord was so disintegrated that I have rewired it with reproduction nylon wire that is a very close match. The cord is 6 feet in length and has an original Bakelite plug and a great period original. In-line switch made of Bakelite that I added for ease of use. There is a Mica inset in the removable top of the lighthouse that gives a nice soft warm amber glow. If you are looking for a brighter soft white light, it easily slips out. Pictures pretty much tell the story but feel free to ask any questions about this one of a kind little antique lamp that has been restored for every day use. Vintage 2004 Harbour Lights Lighthouse #310 Mahota Pagoda, Shanghai, China Nautical Collectible. There is a mystique and fascination with lighthouses. We see them standing firm against the most violent of storms while shining their powerful beacons to safely guide mariners as they have for hundreds of years. Highly Collectible New Old Stock Harbour Lights Lighthouse Mahota Pagoda, Shanghai, China #310 in excellent vintage condition with the exception of a tip to one of the roof ends that broke off! Item was retrieved from an estate sale. This is item comes from a collector, whom informed us that his late father never displayed his awesome collection of lighthouses. Height is about 9″ H and the base measures approximately 4.5″ W x 4.5 L. Number written on figure, and on the label on the box is “1740”. Includes original box, packing materials, Certificate of Authenticity and small tent card. Everything in very clean excellent condition. There is discoloration to the bottom of the felt. Fantastic heavy cast table lamp in the shape of a lighthouse on a rocky cliff with stairs and chain rail. Very unique in that it also has a boat lift which I have never seen on a lamp of this type. It is wired (110 v) with no on/off switch which is an easy fix. The top pops off to change the 5 1/2 tubular bulb. The chain rail is disconnected at one end and needs to be reattached. It is 16 1/2 tall including the wooden base. The wooden base has a diameter of of 9 1/2 inches. It weighs approximately 13 pounds. Beautiful vintage or antique its old! Lighthouse lamp work very well. The top of lighthouse is threaded for easy on and off for a replacement bulb its beautiful piece fir your collection… Stands approximately 13 inches tall vase is 7 inches diameter please see photos for best description. The base is unique and solid wood, approximately 12 wide as pictures show. You can see in one picture the cord end is laying by an area where a small chip in the wood is. Description: Up for sale is this very nice antique circa 1930 brass table lamp in the shape of a lighthouse. Good quality and heavy casting weighing over 7 pounds. Lamp has a beautiful copper patina to base. Complete with handrail leading to the lighthouse door. Top is chrome or aluminum which adds a nice contrast to the base.
