The lamp has a lantern style cage with a light on the inside w a tiny bulb. Im not sure how you get to it. The top takes a regular light bulb. It sits on a heavy brass block. The cord is obviously old, but it still works! The Glass part of the lantern feels more like plastic to me- which can be a good thing. The Regular lightbulb is NOT included. The small, inner bulb IS included. It’s a Super Rare, Super Cool lamp! You’re not likely to find another as the company was a chair company, & only made other things for a short time. The tags on the bottom show “Tell Chair Co”, Weather brass finish’ & the pattern number. There’s also an Underwriters Laboratory inspection sticker on the bottom. The lamp is in working condition!
