Vintage Nautical Light

A LOT OF WORK went into this BEAUTIFUL vintage stained glass lighthouse lamp with 2 lights and it is just FABULOUS!! The DETAIL IS FANTASTIC! It may possibly be a. Forma Vitrum, Bill Job designed lighthouse. I don’t see a signature but several people have mentioned this. This IS the real deal, metal and stained glass! The artist thought of EVERYTHING! Windows front and back and even the sides of the lighthouse top itself are filled with a clear obscure glass with a 3 dimensional pebble design and below that each window has a frame around it as does all the rest too! The artist even made steps to the doors with stained glass on them – AND DOOR KNOBS TOO! – and there is even an awning and a railing on the little porches on BOTH sides of the piece, and a little window above the doors! There are 3 fireplaces as well. There are two round railings on the lighthouse itself. I have seen a lot of stained glass lighthouses but I have not seen one with such detail! It is AMAZING and it is obvious that the artist took a LOT OF PRIDE making this piece! The colors are also BEAUTIFUL , with lavender, purple, shades of brown, yellow and cream and the base has tiny green “pebble like” stones (also some white and red) around it to simulate grass. The side of the base has blue, purple and mauve little stones all around. The base is 1 tall. It has an electrical cord that has a switch on it so you DON’T have to keep plugging it in and pulling the plug out. It has a little opening near the rear corner where the cord goes through. It measures a 9 1/2″ tall, 9 1/2″ long and 5 5/8 deep. The lighthouse itself measures 8 1/2 tall. Really good condition with no cracks and just a little 1/2″ by 1/16″ wide piece of copper metal missing in the back on the left side of the house roof and a 1/4 piece missing off of the roof above the window above the door on one side. One tiny glass”window” missing on the top of the lighthouse (could have been made that way though I don’t know), none of these are very noticeable but I like to list everything. (you can see two places in the 2nd and 3rd photo to the end). What a WONDERFUL piece for the lighthouse collector, sailor or anyone who loves the sea!
