Manufactured during WW2 this heavy metal light shutter was used by attaching on to a 12 light on a boat to relay signals to other Naval craft during blackouts or communication problems. Made by Curtis Lighting inc in Chicago this was referred to as Navy model #S-95101. A great industrial piece of military paraphernalia which would make a novel window shutter. Marked: Navy model # S-95101 Shutter For 12″ Lighting Searchlight Curtis Lighting Inc, Chicago USA MEASUREMENTS Shutter measures 21″ long by 15″ wide by 4.5″ deep and weighs 18lb 5oz. This fits a 12 searchlight. A great addition to any vintage WW2 or US Naval collection. CONDITION Shutter is in good functional condition, some wear commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
