Please excuse the glare in the photos. This nautical ceiling lamp, which looks to be made from brass or bronze, is mounted to an oak base, as found. It has a glass shade within the protective metal cage. The green light bulb is included. The lamp has a brown plastic cord, with an in-line on/off switch. This piece is approximately 10 3/4 inches tall, 10 7/8 inches long, and 10 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs just over 21 pounds. This would be a good addition to a nautical decor. Identification This vintage (circa 1970) lamp was made by Morio Denki. The lamp has an information placard, as shown. Condition This item looks very good overall. It has light wear, including some minor pitting and verdigris corrosion. One the bolts that holds the cage housing together is partially present (the top of the bolt is broken off and missing). The cage which protects the glass has some bends and irregularities. One of the cage welds is broken. The lamp works; as with all used electrical items, it should be inspected by a professional before use. The cord, socket, and plug look good cosmetically.
