NICE SOLID PLACE TO MOUNT A STERN LIGHT ON A SMALL SAILBOAT. PUTS THE VERY BRIGHT LED LIGHT MUCH HIGHER, AND MORE VISIBLE THEN THE CONVENTIONAL MOUNT WHICH ON MOST SMALL BOATS IS 2-3 FEET ABOVE THE BASE OF THE WAVES, BETTER 6-8 FEET UP. AT THE TIME THIS WAS LISTED, I ALSO HAVE SEVERAL OF THE MATCHING RED/GREEN SIDE NAVIGATION LIGHTS. I JUST REWIRED THIS WITH A NEW BULB SOCKET, AND A LOW DRAW 1.7 WATTS, VERY BRIGHT LED BULB, AND NEW RUBBER LENS GASKET.
