Vintage JUNK LIGHT Nautical Oil Lantern, Marked Great Britain Dated 1968
Vintage “JUNK LIGHT” Nautical Oil Lantern, Marked “Great Britain”, Numbered, Dated 1968. I know nothing about this type of lantern. Other than it’s nautical. Overall height of 14.5-inches (including wooden bale-type handle). Actual compartment that holds the oil, wick, and globe is 8.5-inches tall by 5.5-inches wide. Slide-wire closure of lantern is tight and a little hard to manipulate. But it does function. Globe, wick, and oil reservoir slide out on a little track. Heavy wire grid-work protects the glass panels from breakage. On the left side. One wire is missing (see photo) I almost did not notice it as it does not detract from the beauty of the piece. Dated: 3/08/1966, Number 334 (see photo of metal label). Weighs in the vicinity of 10 lbs. Look hard and close. Use the magnifier. And thank you for stopping by. This item is in the category “Antiques\Maritime\Maritime Lamps & Lighting”. The seller is “shovelnose” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.

46 Japanese Glass Fishing Float Light Green Color with some unusual markings. You look at the photograh you see brown streaks in the ball. I’ve never seen any of the fishing ball I gathered have another color intergrated into the float! This is a vintage Japanese glass fishing float called “Hock A Dot E” from around Honshu, Japan. The floats were primarily used in the late 60’s to mid 70’s. The Float was used for Japanese Long Line Tuna Fishing and used on the end lines. This was a USED float! You will see some scrape marks and a couple of crack lines from the use. This is a true USED fishing ball. Please see photographs as you will see marks from being used. Marks: There is a Marker in the glass of the ball. I was stationed in Japan in the military and collected these balls. Im downsizing so my treasures must be passed on.
