Vintage Large Working Prong Crouse Hinds Nautical Search Light from 1940’s Ship

Cast aluminum body and base with glass lens. Fully portable and can be used anywhere. Old paint metallic paint job that has losses and chips. One thumb screw is missing (see photo). The bulb is changed by removal of the glass lens. Silver metallic overpaint to the body and base (see photos). Glass is in pristine condition. Wear consistent with age and use. X W 16 in. X D 15 in. You just never know what you’ll come across on any given day! I couldn’t believe it when I was asked to remove this one from a early post ww2 colonial in Flint, MI. They wanted to update….. It’s a beauty. You wouldn’t believe the presence this one has until you see it for yourself. Originally hung in a large entry room. Hang height is 13″ width is about 10″ The green shade has a couple of glass flakes on the inner rim, but you’ll never notice as it doesn’t extend to the outer rim lip itself. I could even photo it well. Sparkling clear glass pillar and even the original final and ring collars. Works like it should. (One socket is a bit loose) Don’t miss it. It’s a good one! Vintage NAUTICAL Ceiling Light 1940s Maritime Sailboat Glass Shade Brass Fixture

This is a fantastic vintage 1940s era Nautical ceiling light fixture, packed with Maritime detail. The thick pressed glass shade has a smooth white frosted exterior finish and clear raised detailing. When you look up at the light, the bottom has 3 large sailboats circled with rope & star accents. The tall sides are highlighted with 2 clear rings of rope, a clear rope rim & more star detailing. This light is fairly hard to find, (especially in excellent condition) and I have another if a pair is needed. The fixture has been rewired with 2 new UL listed sockets & wiring, 60 watt maximum standard base bulbs. The shade measure 10.25″ wide x 3.75″ deep and hangs 7 from the ceiling to bottom of shade, perfect for lower ceilings in a ranch or bungalow. The entire light is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or issues and beautifully displays the use of early semi-direct lighting. This light will arrive ready to hang with mounting hardware for easy installation included. To date, all my packages have been safely delivered without damage, both domestic and international. Vintage c1940 aluminum outdoor sconce / wall light fixture. The light has a wonderful nautical lantern style with a heavy natural patina. It’s in “as found” condition. Some heavy wear and signs of age can be seen in the photos. No cracks or major flaws are present. The cloth wiring and socket are original. Measurements 6-7/8″ tall X 5-3/4″ in diameter.
