THE BELLS RING DEPENDING ON WHICH LEVER IS BEING OPERATED, JUST LIKE THE FULL-SIZE TELEGRAPHS. The story that I have heard is that THESE DISPLAY TELEGRAPHS WERE Salesman Samples SCALED DOWN TO ABOUT 1/5TH THE SIZE OF THE ORIGINAL TELEGRAPHS AND WERE USED AS SALES DISPLAYS IN CHADBURNS CORPORATE AND SALES OFFICES. They WERE GIVEN AS GIFTS TO SOME OF THEIR CUSTOMERS WHO OUTFITTED THEIR SHIPS WITH CHADBURNS EQUIPMENT DURING THE 1940’S/50’S. THIS SHIPS TELEGRAPH IS NOT A CHEAP REPRODUCTION. Here is a spectacular hard to find pear of Italian metal tole wall sconces double light. It still has its paper tag on one of them Florentine made in Italy. I have seen the fruit I have had the flowers but I have never seen the shipper Schooner or nautical theme. There are approximately 19 in tall by about nine inch in width and dimensional as you can see. It is a burgundy color a beige cream brown green and a little bit of gold accent. Original candle covers original paint a few chips here and there see photographs. It is the original wiring so you might want to have them rewired. It’s in good condition with some surface wear from being used at sea. From the top of the wall mount to the bottom of the cage it measures 10 inches long. When mounted to the wall it will extend out by about 6 inches. The wall mount is 3 3/4 inches in diameter and has four mounting holes. This light weighs 4 1/2 pounds. The cage and glass globe spin off and on freely to access the bulb area. The light has been re-wired, including a ground wire, with all new Westinghouse UL-Listed parts rated for up to 250 volts. You can use a normal house bulb of 75 watts or less in this light. These lights can be used inside or outside, they will never rust!
