Welcome to my listing for this rather beautiful old ships lamp. This body of this light is of heavy aluminium with screw glands and hook eye, the shade of copper, the shade would have more than lightly been painted originally but has been polished although there are marks, and smudges which add to the look but could be polished more if that your desired look. The thick glass is surrounded by a brass cage. The original ceramic bulb holder is present but the lamp is not wired and untested so a competent or professional person is recommended to install the lamp. The lamp could be hung or wall mounted by removing the eye. This is a really beautiful quality cool piece.
