We started out with a reclaimed original nautical ceiling light. Once the original light was polished, we fitted it with a 10 inch diameter polished brass deflector cover. The original conduit hole in front was fitted with a brass plug. We also added a 6 inch brass ceiling mount plate. This light will hang down about 8 inches from the ceiling. The light weighs almost 5 pounds. This light has been rewired with UL-Listed wiring and a bulb holder that is rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a common house bulb of 60 watts or less. To access the bulb, the deflector cover and glass globe and cage spin off. This is a great light to consider for using inside or outside. It’s in overall good condition with light wear from use on a vessel. The glass globe is original and may have some surface wear.
