A heavy brass ships ward room gimbal lamp. In very good condition condition. Has Admiralty pattern number AP9009 and makers mark Playmit. Can be table or wall mounted. Electrical switch is original and shown in photo the insulator is in good condition with new cable and properly earthed. Undated, these lamps were used from 1918 till WWII with some early ones fitted with oil lamp fonts and burners. Due to delicate nature, filament bulb is not included but are available at most lighting shops with various shapes. Dimensions: 31cm high to top of bulb holder.
