This sale is for a vintage maritime signal light made by Western Railroad Supply Co, Chicago. With red glass, this light may have been used as a nautical signal light for the port (left) side. These units have also been used as brake or stop signals on railroad lines. It measures 22 inches tall on its base, and the diameter of the base is 7 inches. It has internal wiring for a standard light bulb, and pictures can be seen with a test bulb lit up inside of it. The glass is original with no damage or cracks. This is a very rare find in such good condition! It appears that the entire housing is crafted in solid brass. We have not cleaned this unit at all. The unit has a beautiful patina.
